Children with Additional Needs
Some of our children have Additional Educational Needs. In line with the Code of Practice we cater for these children by providing extra support, through a team of Teaching Assistants and outside agencies. We have a wealth of expertise and our children make excellent progress during their time at Nursery. By talking together, sharing concerns and planning for the future, we aim to give each child a developmental curriculum that meets each individual need. Our headteacher, Claire Palmer, will be happy to talk to you by phone or in person, and arrange a visit if you would like to come and see the Nursery in action. You can call her on 01480 375216 or email her at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We have close links with and support from Local Authority and Huntingdon Primary Care Trust agencies including: Early Years Specialist Support Teachers; Speech & Language Therapists; Physiotherapists; Occupational Therapists; Educational Psychologists; Teachers of children with hearing or visual impairment. All of these support agencies visit children regularly during Nursery time. We have marked disabled parking bays close to the Nursery entrance.
